History

Olympus Lock was founded in 1985 to meet an unfulfilled need in the lock industry for easily rekeyable pin tumbler cabinet locks. The opportunity for Olympus Lock became apparent as institutions like schools, banks, and hospitals began to purchase large quantities of rekeyable cabinet locks. Most products of the day were not made with rekeying in mind for either wafer or pin tumbler locking mechanisms. Olympus Lock proudly takes responsibility for revolutionizing the cabinet lock industry, and we now hold numerous United States and Canadian patents for our innovative product ideas.

Over the past 30 years, Olympus has expanded its product families to meet a variety of customer needs. Within each of the product families, Olympus offers a wide selection of cabinet lock types, sizes and finishes including door and drawer deadbolt locks, cam locks, sliding door locks and latch locks as well as a number of locks for specialty applications.

Today, Olympus offers a wide selection of easily rekeyable pin-tumbler, interchangeable core and engineered cabinet lock bodies for lock manufacturer’s and third party cylinders. Our broad range of keyways and cabinet lock solutions for commercial and institutional facilities allows us to provide our customers with the right lock for the right application.
